PeopleSometimes we’re a little crazy, but we have fun while doing it!

Katy Rawson

Hey! I’m a 31 year old work at home Mom to my daughter, Zadey Jade and am expecting twin boys in October 2012.

Since Zadey joined our family, I have sought after ways that I can take the skills I have taught myself an earn an income to stay at home with my daughter. And so, building websites started…

The majority of my knowledge is self-taught from trying and failing, purchasing books, searching, reading, and asking questions. And each time that I have learned a new skill, a new program, or new way of completing a tasks, I’m thrilled to take the knowledge that I have learned and apply it to designs to be server another’s needs.

My work at home experience has come in many forms. Besides being the long time owner of many popular work at home sites (co-owned with Mindy) that we have since sold, I’ve been a faithful blogger on the WordPress platform for the last 8 years.

Blogging has led me to many different opportunities including consulting for start-up companies, television appearances, and news print interviews. I’ve been regarded as an “expert” on blogging for an income and am always eager to share what I know about earning an income through blogging.

Beyond work, I’m a proud Las Vegas, NV local; even though I have moved back to California. Vegas is home and will forever have a piece of my heart. I enjoy spending time traveling, reading, visiting the Las Vegas strip, hitting the road for long trips, thrill rides, theme parks, scrapbooking, photography, writing, and visiting family. I strongly believe that if you work with what you are passionate about, you are bound to succeed. If we, Kiss My Code can be an aid to your success, contact us or request a custom design quote today.

Mindy Golden-King

MindyHey! I’m a 34 year old work at home Mother and Wife. In addition to my own entrepreneurial endeavors I am also the General Manager of Band In My Hand LLC a company formed by my parents. BIMH has allowed me the pleasure of interacting with celebrity recording artists from all music genres including Billy Ray & Miley Cyrus, Ed King of Lynyrd Skynyrd, George Jones, and Melissa Etheridge to name a few.

My husband and I have an amazing 17 year old son, Johnathan. As our son made the transition from toddler to teen my desire to spend more time at home available to him catapulted my passion for working at home. Through the desire to work at home I was able to focus my love for web development into a career.

My web development skills have grown as a result of self-taught research and a strong drive for perfection. Trial and error in combination with previous formal training has allowed me to fine tune my skill set. I am not a developer that is content with doing one thing well and making it my main focus. I prefer to continue to learn, research, and take advantage of newly gained knowledge in order to further both my abilities as a developer and expand on new techniques for use in client projects.

Over the last several years my work has focused on offering services and information specializing in helping other WAHMs introduce and grow their companies to the online community. As my skills and interests have grown I have passed on several of those popular sites to new owners to allow myself the ability to create and build new projects.

Aside from work, I’m a Chicago born native transformed into a true down home southern girl residing in Southeast Arkansas. In my spare time I enjoy reading, spur of the moment road trips, classic muscle car restoration, football games, and spending time with friends and family.

Our Partnership

Having met online in an exclusive graphic design community, we did not spend a great deal of time socializing. Later, with the purchase of some web development scripts Katy found herself in need of help, asked the community and Mindy volunteered. The rest, as they say, is history. We have been friends and business partners since.

Our first joint project, more than 7 years ago was building a niche web hosting company. We began hosting work at home Moms offering large packages at small prices. From this single idea, we blossomed and quickly built our own unique way of navigating the work at home Internet. We have built many work at home Mom sites, created places for free advertising, and continually sought after new ways to help others while building our business.

We operate Kiss My Code on the principal that good design does not have to cost a fortune. Everyone finds their own need for a website and we want to help you build it. From showing off your precious little girl with a photo blog, to creating your own unique network of information and everything in between. We have the skills, design, and know-how to get the job done and get you off and going.
